Absail/Rappel into the COSMIQUES COULOIR - Aiguille du Midi

Back in the good old days before we broke the climate, skiers used to be able to ski straight into the mythical Couloir des Cosmiques on the north face of the Aiguille du Midi. These days it is rarely possible without at least 1 absail/rappel, often more... Here we took a full 60m absail, on skis/board, down the skiers right of the line to access the belly of the couloir. This was my first time absailing on skis! it certainly ads to the adventure and the mythic allure of the line, but your skis wont thank you for it!
