The Musée D’Orsay is dedicated to the fine arts of the 19th century and covers the artistic periods that elapse between the creations on display at the Louvre Museum and those at the Pompidou Centre. The Musée D’Orsay is located in an old train station that was opened in the year 1900 for the World Exhibition in Paris. The station had high train traffic until 1939. Since the end of World War II, the station has been abandoned and in 1960 it was suggested that it be demolished. It was only in 1977 that the station got rid of this sad fate when the idea of ​​turning it into a museum was suggested. The opening of the D'Orsay took place in 1986 and today the building still retains the old charm of the train station it once housed.
