Art Therapy by Arya Catna - Q-Tip Technique

I, Arya Catna am passionate about Art and Science. My current research is with a Professor in Washington University at St.Louis is on a topic about Pain in male and female patients. Art Therapy and its effects on Seniors I am currently volunteering in two Senior Care facilities, which includes Senior members who have various aliments including Alzheimers, Parkinson’s disease. I teach Art and observe the impact and effects on Art on Seniors. Art Sessions are an hour each and i use simple techniques week over week. Q-Tip Technique I wanted to start with “Fall Flowers” and instead of using traditional art techniques, i brought in Q-tips to create the flowers. The Seniors were wary at first on how the end results would be, but was pleasantly surprised and happy how the art turned out to be. They were very impressed that Q-tip could achieve the end result.
