Lyricist: Li Jiesi, Composer: Jin Fenghao Singer: Pei Changjia Beating the Long Drum draws from the Chaoxian (Korean Ethnic Group of China) percussion instrument, the long drum, to produce passionate, exquisite music depicting the merry scene of the Chaoxian people beating the long drum and dance to the music. It is an ode to the pretty scenery along the Yanbian region of Jilin and the wholesome lives of the Chaoxian people. “Waves of cool wind portend Chushu, easing into autumn.” Chushu is the second solar term in autumn, meaning “summer nears its end, and heat dissipates”, as its homonym means “getting out of summer”, indicating the passing of scorching heat and the arrival of the crisp, cool air. To share the story and culture of the 24 Chinese solar terms, from April to December 2022, we will present 12 musical sessions of traditional Chinese music, each themed in the Chinese solar terms. Please join us on this special journey as we enjoy the beauty of traditional Chinese music and roam through the four seasons. #ChinaNationalTraditionalOrchestra #中央民族乐团 #TraditionalOrchestra The 24 Solar Terms in Chinese Traditional Music:https://bit.ly/3vTsxNL INNOVATION :https://bit.ly/3e0U6KL Subscribe to the China National Traditional Orchestra 's youtube channel: https://bit.ly/3ckYqn3 For more: CLASSIC : https://bit.ly/3cjAaSm SONG: https://ytube.io/3FVE ERHU: https://ytube.io/3FPe PIPA: https://ytube.io/3FPd The China National Traditional Orchestra was founded in 1960 and is the world’s largest performance ensemble for Chinese traditional music, offering the most consummate repertoire.
