I get asked by many of you if I make my own surfaces and the answer for most of my photos is YES! It's super easy and pretty fun, too. The process is quite forgiving so even if you "mess up" in terms of color or texture placement, you can just do a "fix it" layer. For more notes and tips, please scroll down. What you'll need: • Plywood or Medium Density Fiberboard, at least 1/4 inch thick: https://amzn.to/36I4JhO (Home Depot, Lowes, etc will have it for really cheap) • Cosmetic Sponges: https://amzn.to/2yKSxjM • Chunky Sponges: https://amzn.to/2TRNmFX • Alternative Kitchen Sponge (works GREAT): https://amzn.to/2VGo1js • Dark Green Acrylic Paint: https://amzn.to/2M9ajjX • Artist's Loft Acrylic Paints: https://amzn.to/2TUXeit • Black Acrylic Paint: https://amzn.to/38hgexB • White Acrylic Paint: https://amzn.to/2YPZeLv • Metallic Acrylic Paint: https://amzn.to/3cn3VjO • Matte Acrylic Sealant Spray: https://amzn.to/3cif7Oy https://amzn.to/2AmjiLQ I got these plywood and MDF boards from Home Depot. They are 24 inch x 24 inch and 1/4 inch thick. Do not get anything thinner, otherwise it will bow/curve when you paint it. I have painted on both sides of these boards, so each board is two surfaces! Be sure to seal your beautiful hard work with at least 4 coats of MATTE Acrylic Sealant Spray so that anything that falls on your surface won't ruin the acrylic paint. Use matte sealant to prevent glares in your photos.
