As always you are free to use my lyrics! They're based off my own translation. --- I have been meaning to sing a song from MI8K for a while. His stuff is criminally underrated and I’d love to cover even more… His songs are pretty high on my “sing it NEXT” list. I thought I’d start here. avogado6’s PV is of course amazing. Very intense and I had to look away sometimes when I first watched it since I was like “oh my god that must hurt OW OW oh I can’t look” but beautiful nonetheless. I wanted to talk about what this song meant to me but I think it’s sort of hard to describe it like a narrator so here’s something I wrote about what I think the singer might say (mixed with my own emotions): “I want to advance. No matter what. I’m tired of being left behind. I want to be like you, who are so cruel but so beautiful. I don’t care what it takes anymore.” …It feels thematically similar to Love & Destroy with Fallen Hero vibes… Though Love & Destroy can also be more interpreted as somebody being forced into the hero when they just want to be a little evil. Either way it’s a very cynical song full of anger and sadness and I love it a lot. I’m really glad ‘across’ sounds like ‘a cross’ too.
