It has a link to the obituary of a patient who had died during the production of the film. The original film accurately expressed what I felt at the time of his death. This version includes the Delta Variant diagnosis. The change was made after learning about the CDC's internal slide presentation which told of the increased transmissibility of the Delta Variant and the increased susceptibility of vaccinated individuals. Although vaccinated patients are rarely hospitalized, compared to the unvaccinated, the increased spread of the virus will result in more unvaccinated people being hospitalized and dying. At this point, I do not have hope for enough new people deciding to be vaccinated before hospitalizations and deaths dramatically increase over the next few weeks.
