Sovereign Metals is developing the Kasiya rutile and graphite project in Malawi. The project aims to be the world's largest and lowest-cost supplier of these critical minerals. Rio Tinto has invested AU$58.5 million for a 19.9% stake in Sovereign Metals. Geopolitical shifts are increasing focus on securing strategic mineral supplies outside China/Russia.
