THIS IS THE ONLY TOWN IN METRO MANILA... AND IT IS CELEBRATING FIESTA! Welcome to Pateros, and my first time experiencing their Fiesta weekend and the Pandangguhan Festival. Which I had no clue actually existed! I randomly made my way down the hill from BGC to this town, and found out they have a traditional Folk Dancing competition. Walking around... I felt like I had been transported to Provincial life here in the Philippines... but I was in Metro Manila! The style of Philippine Folk dancing they perform is just incredible. The way everyone sways to the music, and the way they show devotion to Santa Marta de Pateros... just wow! Each dance depicted the story of when Saint Martha saved the town's duck-raising industry from a giant, killer crocodile. It wasn't just vibrant and beautiful... BUT THE DANCE STEPS ARE INCREDIBLE! AND SO PASSIONATELY PERFORMED! This is Part one of my spontaneous Pateros Fiesta experience.
