atan, atan2 and Standard Angle

This video describes the difference between atan and atan2 functions. We explain how atan2 solves some of the problems associated with atan, i.e., extends the range of retrieved angles. Moreover, we make a distinction between the angle retrieved by atan2 (the shortest angle measured from the positive x-axis) and the standard angle (the counterclockwise angle measured from the positive x-axis). atan2 is often used when processing wind direction data and plotting a wind rose. In my not-so-humble opinion, atan2 is Chuck Norris' function!
