Children at play in a neighborhood, which is a common occurrence, apparently did not sit well with 58 year old Susan Lorincz. Susan and her 35 year old neighbor, Ajike Owens, also known as A.J., had many disputes regarding AJ's children in the past, many of which police were called for. This is a feud that would sadly end in tragedy. On this fateful day, Susan allegedly said some very harsh things to AJ's children, who were playing loudly near her residence, And she also allegedly threw some objects that are children as well. AJ ventured across the street to confront Susan for the incident and began loudly banging on her front door, asking her to come out so she could talk to her. Very shortly after that, a single shot was fired through the door, striking AJ in the chest in front of her nine year old son. after being treated with CPR on the scene and being rushed to the hospital, AJ would succumb to her injuries. (SPOILERS BELOW) Susan Lorincz was charged with 1st degree manslaughter and culpable negligence... She stood trial in June of 2024, and was ultimately convicted of murder and was sentenced to 25 years to life. She is serving her time in a Florida Prison...
