Limbal Relaxing Incisions and routine phaco using V groove Technique
This video is about performing LRI and 2.2 mm incision Phaco surgery (Alcon Infiniti, OZIL Technology) for a case of cataract with 3.0 D of Astigmatism. LRI Calculator: Abbott Medical Optics Inc was used for LRIs needed. The Cornea is marked preoperatively on Slit lamp. 2 x 80 degrees of LRI were carried out at the steep axis before the phaco. I do LRI routinely on all my patients with astigmatism higher than 0.75 (as inspired by Dr Bruce Wallace and his surgical procedure) who consent to the procedure. This was followed by routine 2.2 mm incision phaco under topical anaesthesia using my routine V Groove Technique after hydro-dissection. My patient was pleased with the excellent uncorrected vision for distance.
