US Road Trip - Day 24, Alpine TX to Lake Roberts NM

Thursday 17 May 2019 Day 24 of my 2019 coast-to-coast (and back again) US road trip. This video sees me head west from Alpine, Texas to Lake Roberts, New Mexico. On my way to Lake Roberts I have breakfast at Marfa Burrito, visit Prada Marfa then White Sands National Monument, and drive through the Gila Forest. On my arrival I check into the Lake Roberts Motel, before checking out the view from the hill above the lake, then heading out after dinner for a walk as the sun goes down. MY COAST TO COAST US ROAD TRIP Starting on the Pacific coast in Los Angeles in late-April 2019, I drove cross-country to Charleston South Carolina on the Atlantic coast, before looping south and heading right back again. I covered over 8,000 miles (12,000 kilometres) in four weeks. The first half of the trip was with my 21-year-old-son Josh, who flew home after two weeks from Kansas City, Missouri. The second half I was travelling solo.
