Maharashtra Govt tells SC it’s ready to hand over Palghar investigation to CBI | Law Today

The Maharashtra Govt on Tuesday told Supreme Court in an affidavit that it is ready and willing to hand over the investigation in the Palghar mob lynching case to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The incident took place in April 2020 when two seers and their car driver were lynched to death by a mob at Gadchinchle village in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. The petition said that the transfer of the case to the CBI is imperative to ensure an impartial and independent investigation into the matter.
