Pieter started at Rietkuil in 1993 to 2025 as a member of Rietkuil for 33 years. His first car was a Mazda Capella. He starts as his "Rookies" and finishes 3rd that same year In 1994 he won and came 1 st in the club and then had to move up to another class. In 1995, he started the 2.1 modifieds with the "Capella" He then built a "Datsun SSS S510", one of Sarel vd Merwe's rally cars. With the 2.1 Datsun, he took 1 st and 3rd places that year. In 2000, he started in the Super Saloon class and drove a "GX 2 through", which he crashed into the wall and broke his leg that same year. Then he got a new car, a 280 ZX Left Hand steering and later again with the one in the wall at the finish line. He rebuilds a "GX 2" for the super saloon class. In 2005 he started driving the Anglia and drove this car he built on the track for 20 years. During 2010, the 3rd place was lost due to the gearbox. Pieter vd. Sy eerste kar was n Mazda Capella. Hy begin as sy “Rookies” en eindig 3 de daardie selfde jaar In 1994 wen hy en kom 1 ste in die klub en moes toe opskuif na n ander klas. In 1995 begin hy die 2.1 modifieds met die “Capella” Daarna bou hy vir hom n “Datsun SSS S510”, een van Sarel vd Merwe se rally karre. Met die 2.1 Datsun vat hy daardie jaar 1 ste en 3 de plekke. In 2000 begin hy in die Super Saloon klas en ry n “GX 2 deur”, waarmee hy dieselfde jaar in die muur vasry en sy been breek. Daarna kry hy n nuwe kar, ‘n 280 ZX Linker hand stuur en ook later weer met die in die muur by die eindlyn. Hy bou weer n “GX 2” vir fir super saloon klas. In 2005 begin hy met die Anglia ry en ry 20 jaar met hierdie kar wat hy op die baan gebou het. Gedurende 2010 verloor die 3 de plek as gevolg van die ratkas . Pieter vd. Merwe verwerf in die 33 jaar 140 trofees in sy Oval Loopbaan.
