It was first released May 19, 2025 for Windows. The game uses generative AI visuals and music. The game is based on classic real-time strategy tiles from the 90s. Its plot centres around the Assarlions, a species of aliens which, driven from their homeworld, attempts to conquer Earth and defeat its defenders, the Terran forces. Both sides get a five-mission campaign. Mechanically, Tactical Warfare resembles Westwood titles such as Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2: buildings and units are build from a side menu with a single queue per unit or structure type, there is one resource harvestable on the map, few upgrades, and no population cap. Outside the campaign, the game also offers a third-person mode that allows players to control a unit directly.
