When the plot ratio suggests a high rise tower and high density development, the team priorities privacy and serenity. When the surrounding is all commercial usage, they went full residential. When the nature is small units that leverages on short term stays, they are building homes for locals. . 29 Reserve is a beautiful contrast from the environment, which is only possible when the developer is not prioritizing on maximizing profit. That allows the project to truly leverage on the convenience of the surrounding commercial area, the distance from local schools and the potential of a new masterplan right in front of the sea. In terms of specifications, I also think that the team is seriously pushing the boundary. The size of the yard area, the sliding window design from both side, the length of the balcony, and my favourite would be the larger size unit with private garden...unfortunately that was sold out. However, there are elements that I don't understand. The commercial shop offices in front of the project. It is going to be a dilemma whether do residents want. If business good, there will be congestion. If business bad, the project will not look good. Next, the basin design outside the bathroom still feels weird for me. Then the facade outline of the masterbedroom felt weird because the balcony is open for everyone to access. Surprisingly, the developer has submitted changes in building plan to amend the drawing based on the comments from the buyers. That just shows the open mindedness that is pretty rare within the industry. But last of all, it will take a lot of effort to get over the stigma for the location after the series of projects being abandoned. But from a local point of view, this project is seriously pretty rare.
