Japan's first sun rise of the year 2018 『Japan Shorts』

Seen from the Chiba Prefecture Makuhari Seaside Park. Right after Countdown Japan in the Makuhari Messe Hall endet I went to the beach for a spot to lie in wait for the sun to come up. First I saw only a few people, but soon after lots of people gathered around. It is supposed to bring good luck and fortune for the coming year if you withness the first sun rise of the year. After being on the beach for one hour I returned to Tokyo and have a look at the Meiji Shrine. It was so cold that I couldn't write in my book for half an hour. And in the train so many people were tired or wasted they were sleeping and I sat right in the middle of two people sleeping on my shoulder.
