Near-Real-Time Realistic Hair Drawing | Part 1 | 10 Hours with Colored Pencils

In this near-real-time colored pencil drawing, I show the full process of creating realistic hair from start to finish. The footage is shown at 2× speed so I can include more of the 10-hour drawing session, while still keeping the process clear and easy to follow. This video is Part 1 of my near-real-time colored pencil portrait series, focused on realism, layering techniques, and detailed pencil work. The portrait is of @shane. Materials used: Pencils: Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils Paper: Stonehenge paper (250 gsm) Most common colors used: 199 – Black 177 – Walnut Brown 176 – Van Dyke Brown 107 – Cadmium Yellow 101 – White Other colors (including reds and purples) were used in small amounts to introduce natural color shifts, but they are not essential to the overall realism. The main structure, depth, and detail were achieved using the core colors listed above.
