The recipe itself is very simple, easy to make. Again, there are slight variations on how everyone makes it. Today I am showing you how I make it. Keep watching this video till end and try to make it at home. Ingredients: ------------ 1. 2 pieces of koi fish (Climbing Perch) 2. 1 tbsp ginger, 1 tbsp cumin seeds and 2 red chili paste 3. 1 tbsp turmeric powder 4. 1/2 tbsp Kashmiri red chili powder 5. Salt to taste 6. 1/2 tbsp Nigella seeds(Kalongi/Kalojire) 7. 1 dry red chili and 2 Green chili 8. 4 tbsp Mustard oil Method ------- 1. Clean and wash the fish and make small slit on the body. Marinate with turmeric, red chili powder and salt. 2. Soak the dry red chili and cumin seeds into lukewarm waterfor 20 minutes. Then add ginger and grind it to make a smooth paste. 3. Heat a pan. Add mustard oil. Shallow fry the fish pieces on low heat. 4. In the same pan, add some more oil (if needed), dry chili and nigella seeds. Immediately add masala paste, turmeric powder and salt 5. Keep sauteing on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes. 6. Add green chili and some water. 7. Cover it for 5 minutes. Keep the flame low. 8. Tel koi is ready. Serve with steamed rice.
