I had one of these before I started this YouTube malarkey, so it's probably well on its way to being vintage anyway. in part 1, we dismantle as much as is necessary, do a deep clean, and begin the reassembly with my desired parts, hopefully fitted somewhat more correctly than the state in which I purchased it! one of the joys of a bike like this, which has been poorly configured and built, is that it's a very satisfying process to strip off the inappropriate stuff, seeing the potential emergency with every removal. part 2 in a couple of days, I hope, with the rest of the reassembly and the first ride.
