After 7 years, it’s finally time to close this chapter. In this video, I’m painting the very last page of my Hahnemühle sketchbook, which I started all the way back in 2018. This book has seen it all: different styles, unfinished pages, abandoned ideas, and drawings I’m honestly not proud of. But I wanted to share it with you anyway — the good, the bad, and the ugly — because that’s what a real art journey looks like. I only started painting regularly again since mid-2024, and that’s also when I discovered the joy of using watercolours. It’s been a process of slowly reconnecting with creativity, accepting imperfection, and letting go of the pressure to make every page "Instagram-worthy." This is not a sketchbook tour full of perfect spreads. It’s raw, real, and reflective — and hopefully encouraging if you’re in a creative slump yourself. I promise the next sketchbook will be a bit more… cohesive ;) Thank you for being here. 🖌 Materials used: Hahnemühle Watercolour Book - 200 g/m² - A5 - Watercolours: Schmincke Horadam Fineliners: Sakura Pigma Micron (sizes 01, 05, 08) Schmincke masking fluid (colored) masking tape by Søstrene Grene Pencil: Faber-Castell 2H Eraser: Faber-Castell Microfiber cloth Brushes: da Vinci FIT SYNTHETICS Brush (size 2/6/12) rico design art school Brush (size 0) 🎵 Music used in this video: Slow Sunset – ProdByLucK Slow Dance in the Rain – Achamin Slow Waves – Walter Landors Vlog Video work Fashionable MGM(847726) - Tsuyoshi_san Sunset Serenade (Lofi) - ProdbySkyJackson Time stamps: 00:00 Introduction 00:55 finishing my last sketchbook page 10:45 Sketchbook tour 📸 Reference image: Photo by Ray Raimundo on Pexels → pexels.com/@rayraimundo ❌ This video is not sponsored.
