CS-SUNN: Niger State to Scale Up Nutrition Governance, Resource Mobilization, Advocacy, Capacity & Partnership The Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) is a non-governmental, non-profit alliance, made up of organisations with a shared vision to transform Nigeria into a country where every citizen has food and is nutrition secure. During the three days capacity building training at Haske Hotel Minna, from the CS-SUNN National to Niger state members, the program inducted the participants with the belief to Uphold State's access to nutrition, ensuring that everyone has an effective right to nutrition without discrimination, especially women and girls in Niger State. The training urged CS-SUNN members in the State to encourage local leadership, donors and governments prioritization directly supporting local organizations and communities that are best placed to deliver effective, sustainable nutrition solutions. The capacity building call for investing in local capacity as essential to lasting impact, ensuring civic space and participation in Nutrition Governance, Resource Mobilization, Advocacy, Capacity & Partnership. The program encourages CS-SUNN members to collaborate and partner with governments and institutions geared towards an accountable and transparent nutrition commitments in the State. It called for strengthening of data systems that is essential to track both financial commitments and nutrition outcomes in Niger State. The training said aligning resources with national priorities on Nutrition financing must be State-led, data-driven, and responsive to local realities and national strategies. Saying that evidence generation and application is needed not only in nutrition programming, but also in the generation, sharing, and use of high-quality evidence to inform policies in scaling up nutrition in the State. The program stated that Civil society plays a vital role in ensuring that financing reaches those who need it most, noting that adequate resources amplified community voices promoting accountability and helping connect grassroots solutions with innovative financing to ensure equitable and effective investments in nutrition policy and governance multi-sectoral integration of evidence-based nutrition-sensitive policies.
