The durable, abuse-resistant rollers are ideal for heavy items. When sizing Cart-Trak, you want to closely match the width of the roller with the width of the containers for full-surface coverage. The Cart-Trak separator holds back rear containers from the case or tote at the pick aisle. By isolating the front container, workers have a more manageable, unobstructed grasp and don’t have to deal with the added weight of the rear containers. Rear containers in a gravity flow lane add back pressure to the front item simply due to the lane pitch. Back pressure in a lane of lightweight containers is negligible, but in a deep lane with heavy cases or totes, it can add up, especially after a long day. Additionally, the pivot feature of the separator places the front container in a more ergonomic position for easier access. The Cart-Trak carton flow separator is simple to operate. Begin by removing the front container, then push down on the latch to release the separator and allow the rear containers to flow forward. Once the front position is filled, the rear containers will be stopped and held in place.
