This is an edited version of the Reggae Strong episode with Ras Michael that we recorded in 1990. The interview took place in Central Park, in New York City, a few days after Ras Michael's performance at Kilimanjaro on June 1, 1990. In addition to Ras Michael's interview, Stafford also interviewed a gentleman named Jah Lloyd, who was a Rastafarian teacher, historian and from what I have learned, a community leader who was at the forefront of creating a Rastafarian community within Jamaica for the remainder of his life. I welcome any more information on this man, and indeed, any additional background on the history that both he and Ras Michael discuss in this video.
