I am grateful to have received a review copy of the Untamed Spirit: Animal Oracle from @redwheelbooks , created by @higgiugiuk and Rocco Lombardi. This Animal Oracle is made up of 50 cards, featuring a variety of different animals "that are considered sacred in various cultures across the globe." These animals are categorized by element, including Earth, Water, Air and Fire. The cards include the name of the animal, the illustration and a couple of keywords that indicate the meaning associated with each animal. In the guidebook the description of each card includes: the associated element, where it can be found in the world, its zoological information, associated symbols, and a descriptive phrase to integrate the message each animal brings. The illustrations are created using a scratchboard technique, and the end result is stunning. The cards and corresponding guidebook are printed on a yellow toned cream background, which compliments the artwork beautifully.
