Join me in the repair and conversion of this Fender 1969 Twin Reverb. This is a vintage amp in excellent original condition. It is a beautiful example of a window sill Silver Face Twin Reverb that is transitional. This has the AC568 circuit which was only manufactured for a few months. The tube chart indicates it is an AB763 circuit, but it is actually an AC568. This amp came in for service with no reverb and scratchy pots. I step through the repair and then I bring something new for this channel. I take it on the road as an AC568 for a studio test with a gifted musician, and then I convert it to an AB763 circuit for a comparative studio test! Join me for my first experience recording an amp wide open with my camera setup. I learned a lot from the session and will improve the audio at the next opportunity. While the camera audio distorts some as it is overdriven by how loud the amp projected, I believe this video still does a good job conveying the difference in the circuit from the player's perspective. I wish you could have heard it the way we did. I had a blast and expect to do more interactive videos like this. I would enjoy hearing your thoughts and feedback. Love Your Tone! 0:00 What?
