It's been a bit quiet around here lately, as we've been in France for a couple weeks learning and sharing lots of amazing garden tips! I was contacted to co-teach a workshop at a French manoir in the countryside this spring, and it's been an amazing experience--from amazing food to stunning surroundings, naps in the sun, and visits to nearby quaint Limoges--it's been a dream! Of course, now I do have a lot to do around the farm to get back caught up, haha! More on that later this week! In the meantime, I wanted to share one of the fun things I learned this week, which is a technique of simple plant propagation called layering. I'm so excited to try this one in my zone, as often cuttings that I simply "stick" in the ground tend to dry out--this method solves that problem and also makes for more successful propagation! What a great way to expand a shrub hedge! If you're interested in joining me for our next retreat in France, it will be taking place September 20-26--this one sold out and had an extensive waitlist, so hop on it if you're interested! It was such a blast! More info here! https://www.lajugie.co.uk/greenfingers
