NAMDROLING MONASTERY | GOLDEN TEMPLE | BYLAKUPPE, KARNATAKA

This vlog is to share a quick glimpse of Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple) in Bylakuppe, part of the Mysuru district of Karnataka State. It is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. Bylakuppe, which houses the Namdroling Monastery is also the second largest Tibetan settlement outside Tibet, after Dharamshala. Its numerous monasteries and temples of all Tibetan Buddhist traditions attract large number of tourists from all over India. A must visit place if you are on a holiday to that region. One can sense the positive vibe around the monastery and experience peaceful moments. Visitors can meditate, pray, and get to see and learn about Tibetan Buddhist monastic cultures and traditions apart from enjoying the beautiful architectures and surroundings. I had a wonderful few hours touring around the Golden Temple with our Buddhist monk brothers. I have compiled and shared few shots I could capture during my visit, but there are many beautiful things you could see and explore when you visit. I hope you all enjoy watching.
