The T-34 1940 in War Thunder is one of the first T-34 tanks players get access to. This Russian medium tank is a bane of low tier but can really suffer in full uptiers. USSR teams have been having a hard time recently with very poor win rates, so I decided to take it out and see how it could do! The T-34 is infamously tough to crack. The sloped armour seems to do a LOT more than it really should. It will regularly bounce shots point blank and mitigate damage from devastating rounds like it's nothing. The T-34 1940 uses a very mediocre 76mm cannon that doesn't have much penetration at all compared to other nations vehicles such as the Sherman and Panzer 4's. However, it does do some pretty magical things to angled armour. Seriously, this thing will punch through the side of a StuG at a 70 degree angle but has no chance of going through frontally. Pretty weird stuff...
