Pulling Out Stumps with a Skidding Winch | + ATV Recovery Mission

Pulling out stumps with a tractor winch may sound a bit out of the ordinary but that's exactly what I"m doing today as I make full use of my Wallenstein FX85. After some backwoods riding that took a turn for the worse on my ATV, I'm out in the woods today with my tractor winch attempting to not only pull out stumps, but also my ATV. With my full-size Polaris Sportsman 700 buried to the frame in deep, thick mud, I"m on an ATV recovery mission before the freeze sets in. For those of you who live in cold climates you know what happens when you leave something stuck in the mud during freezing temperatures; it's there till spring! With some basic rigging and a bit of hope, the winch goes to work and get working on my exercise. Walking back and forth from the winch to the ATV to reposition the handlebars to keep the machine straight sure takes some effort.
