Helps prevent disease from destroying the vegetation. These plants are about two months old in the first segment and three months old is the last segment. By cutting the bottom leaves off, disease is less likely to form at the bottom of the plants. This chemical-free technique will enable me to grow these for another 2 or 3 months with little to no problems. I start cutting the lower leaves off after the plants have been in the ground for about 8 weeks. Then, after a few more weeks, I cut off any more leaves as needed that have grown towards the ground. The tomatoes shown here are Campari and Tami G. I grew the Campari's from seed, and the Tami G's were bought at the garden center. Both are being grown with no pesticides and no chemically-derived fertilizers. Only organic amendments are used. The last time I grew Tami G, it seemed to have good disease resistance. This is the first time I have grown Campari's. These were grown in Zone 9a. Thanks for watching! Please like and subscribe!
