When researching this kit online, I could not find much much info, other than what was on the Transcendent sound web site. I was curious about the parts, assembly and of course, the sound. Sorry for the lack of audio in the vid, when I uploaded this, I was trying to create an unbiased vid, but clearly that is not what some people wanted, so seven years later, I am going to give an update, here it goes. Bruce at Transcendent sound sells various audio products, in kit form, so you need to get the soldering iron out, or ask about having the kit assembled for you. As I have always been interested in electronics, putting a preamp like this together was something I was looking forward to, I learned how to solder when I was really young, and enjoy tinkering with electronics. The kit arrived with all the necessary components, wire, tubes, chassis and knobs, necessary to complete the project and arrive at a polished looking preamp. I probably spent 3 or 4 evenings, putting this together, and it powered up, as expected. I have been spinning vinyl with this phono preamp for the last seven years and the preamp has worked flawlessly, the sound very rich and detailed, something I feel you only really can get, with decent tube equipment. I am very happy with the preamp, and feel this compares to other brands, some costing a lot more money. In addition, I have also purchased a Transcendent sound grounded grid preamp, and the sub buddy. I would definitely recommend the kits Bruce offer, especially if you are looking for high end sound, with out the high end price tag. A warning for those who are excited about building something like this, but don't have any soldering or electronics experience, this is not a "starter project", I would either get somebody else to build it. You don't want this to cause damage to your other expensive audio equipment, because of a "cold solder joint"
