R&N #2102 is back! Welcome the return of a class T-1 Steam Locomotive that has not been in operation since 1991. The locomotive I'm referring to is Reading & Northern's #2102, a 4-8-4 "Northern" type steam locomotive. In this video we start out in Hamburg Pennsylvania and give chase north to Jim Thorpe. Along the way I capture her progress from the air, the ground and even underneath. Once she arrives in Jim Thorpe, we'll take a more up-lclose and personal look at this beauty. When she departs Jim Thorpe, we'll pace her for a few miles and finally catch her passing the Tamaqua station. This run was to test how well she would do pulling the equivalent weight of the passenger cars next month.
