Stubble burning has been reckoned among the major contributors of air pollution especially in South Asia. It is a significant source of gaseous pollutants such as, carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur oxides (SOx), and methane (CH4) as well as particulate matters (PM10 and PM2.5) causing serious damage to human health and the environment. It was reported that the burning of 63 Mt of crop stubble releases 3.4 Mt of CO, 0.1 Mt of NOx, 91 Mt of CO2, 0.6 Mt of CH4 and 1.2 Mt of PM into the atmosphere.  This we all know and share to many , how about a small step to try to do what best Ican to reduce my best capacity. Today while coming back from the plantation drive in the Rural area on the way I took a few videos and felt I must do it. I am planning to do my best to clean up the area where the weeds have grown to a height of 3 to 6 feet. And we  all know a few small steps can convert this into compost. If we start calculating the cost involved to make this activity of 6 acres of land may be more than 50000 to 60000 rupees , it means we are reducing around carbon dioxide (CO2) 5Mt, carbon monoxide (CO) 0.34Mt, nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur oxides (SOx)0.001 Mt, and methane (CH4) 0.06 Mt as well as particulate matters (PM10 and PM2.5) 0.1 Mt.  ,  to nature and many more other elements. It means less than 12 rs per kg of carbon dioxide released by one small mistake or laziness. If we convert this stubble  into compost we may get 500 kg of compost to us.
