Massimiliano Papi is an associate professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) and a researcher in the STRONG-UR project. In this interview, he offers an overview of the science behind bioinks and explains the two different procedures that he and his team are going to test in the context of STRONG-UR. Each procedure addresses different types of damage in the tubular structures. ℹ️ STRONG-UR comes to revolutionise the repair of damaged tissue by creating advanced bioprinted tissue structures. This project focuses on the treatment of male urethral strictures which affect a significant proportion of men, causing both physical complications and psychological distress, and challenging healthcare resources.
