I Was Sexually Assaulted By A Friend | Siobhan's Story

However, she decided to let him off with a warning because she was worried about other people's reactions if she pressed charges. Nonetheless, people still accused her of faking the sexual assault to cover up that she cheated on her boyfriend. This caused a lot of problems in her relationship and they eventually broke up. She felt like she couldn't open up to anybody and became severely depressed, started self-harming, and was having suicidal thoughts. Eventually, she reached out to a trusted family member who encouraged her to get help. She was signed up for counseling which helped take the weight off her shoulders. Siobahn still struggles with her mental health but is in a much better place! She is in a healthy relationship, is connecting with friends, and even started a blog about mental health.
