One of the BEST VR games ever is about VR kayaking... SERIOUSLY! // Quest 2 Airlink

Wow. I never would've guessed that a VR kayaking game would end up being one of the best VR games 2022 had to offer... and I certainly didn't expect Kayak VR Mirage to be one of the best VR games ever made but here we are! Kayak VR Mirage is the perfect example of a dev team with laser focus, they set out with a clear goal; to make the best VR kayak game they possibly could. Instead of being a jack of all trades the game attempts to be a master of one and it excels at that in every way possible. Some of the best VR graphics I've ever seen combine with beautiful soundscapes to completely transport you to the locations you're exploring and exploring them is an absolute delight. Some players will no doubt remark about there being nothing to "do" in these locations but for those of us who want to escape, unwind or simply have a stealth workout whilst navigating the best looking VR worlds of 2022, Kayak VR Mirage will more than satisfy our hunger for a top tier VR product. As for content Kayak VR Mirage currently has 4 unique locations (Norway, Costa Rica, Australia and Antarctica), each location has a freeroam mode with different times of day and a selection of races to compete in asychronously against online opponents. Completing races and covering long distances exploring will net you credits to spend in the shop on new kayaks, paddles, hats and inflatable items for the home area (a lovely swimming pool). I hope the game continues to grow over time with new locations and races, I can see this becoming a stable fixture in my VR library and I applaud the team for pulling this off.
