Nov 14, 2013 - We are expecting our first child. Thus, the bike is now for sale. See the link below: http://cgi.ebay.com/121219993652? After a long delay from my previous vid.... Here's my ego-kits motorized mountain bike in action. The video is recorded and played back in real time. Hope you like it! A couple of notes - I'm not a professional rider! This is a demonstration of my mountain bike with the EGO-Kits.com motor so that you can decide for yourself if it's for you. Or just have a look. It is not for everyone and if you are the type that says (whiny tone acknowledged) "You're supposed to pedal a bike", this video is not meant for you, move along! Frame of reference - The Foresthill Bridge is 734 feet above the river below. Anybody who has ridden from the bottom (the confluence) to the top of the bridge (west side) or to the top of Clementine knows that these are painful rides. In this case the confluence to the top of the bridge took 6 minutes!! Confluence to the top of Clementine took 13. Total ride time was about 1.5 hours. This video covers only a portion of the first loop. The battery lasted for three ~700 vertical foot climbs over miles of trail and provided power on the flats and other portions of the trail. I was very satisfied. Bottom line regarding battery run time is park low, ride high. Regarding speed, climbing and overheating - I have a single 36 tooth chainring and an 11/35 tooth sprocket. Those with multiple chainrings will achieve higher top speeds and longer/steeper climbs without overheat. Simply assisting the motor by pedaling helps tremendously but is not necessary. Final thoughts - This is not a "motorcycle". It is a free ride bike with the power to get you to the top of the hill multiple times. it makes the uphill enjoyable. It does not, however, give you endless power or torque. Now go ride...
