Today was a bit of active recovery for me, as I opted for a group ride instead of a race. I still got enough of a workout when I found myself off the front with two other riders. After sitting in most the ride, enjoying the new roads and taking mental notes on how the course is structured, I offered to pull continuously for a few km towards the finish. It was the least I could do after being given a generous free ride. The three of us finished well enough together, and it made for a rather enjoyable ride.
