$12 Generic eBay Spy Glasses Unboxing, Test Footage, and Overview

In today's video I will unbox and take a look at a $12 pair of camera glasses (spy glasses). I bought these off eBay to give give my viewers a first person POV while working on computers and unboxing products. Unfortunately due to the distortion caused by the fake lenses I do not think I will actually be able to use these. First impressions during the unboxing were not very good. The glasses arrived damage and missing the USB cable that was supposed to be included. After managing to get the glasses properly assembled I put them on to record some footage. The first thing that I noticed was that the plastic lenses distorted the view. Objects towards the edges of the glasses were blurred by the fake lenses. When I tried to play back the video I recorded I was surprised to find that the glasses actually capture picture and video upside down. This is something that can easily be fixed in post processing but it is a nuisance nevertheless. Also the video was not HD 720P video as advertised, it was actually 720 X 480 at 30fps. Even though the glasses were not recording HD video I did find the 720 X 480 video to be of an acceptable quality. I was impressed by the sound quality of the sound recorded by these glasses. The audio was clear and the subject wearing the glasses can be easily heard. Battery life was exceptional, they were continuously able to record 1 hour and 45 minutes of footage. Overall I would consider this a pretty mediocre product. The build quality is poor, they are hard to wear due to the lens distortion, video quality is good despite the fact that it is not 720P, audio quality is good, and the battery life is exceptional.
