This was inspired by a retro-sci-fi video someone made on X. It immediately gave me an idea for something. Over the course of a week, I generated a bunch of footage in Pika 1.0 (mostly text-to-vid), and capped it off with image-to-vid footage based on Midjourney V6 outputs. All that was rather easy. The hard part was generating the soundtrack in Suno. It doesn't understand "retro-sci-fi soundtrack very well". I tried. Plot: "Humanity in the future is contacted by an alliance of alien races, led by an oligarchy of robots. The powers-that-be on Earth plot to try to use the situation to their advantage. All the while, not realizing that this so-called "alliance" - dubbed Necrotron 5 - is actually harvesting organic matter to act as the brainstem for their automaton military.
