After the high of Joker and I had to see this stupid Movie that rips off John Carpenter's The Thing (literally) at one point and has a killer giant Paul Bunyan/Brawny Man, Gollum's Mother chasing Jessica Chastain and a CG Dog monster...and one of the dumbest endings in a while (baby? really??). I hated, hated this flick. It Chapter Two is a 2019 American supernatural horror film based on Stephen King's 1986 novel of the same name, produced by New Line Cinema, Double Dream, Vertigo Entertainment, and Rideback and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is the sequel to 2017's It. The film was directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Gary Dauberman, and features an ensemble cast including Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Andy Bean, and Bill Skarsgård. In the film, the remaining members of the Losers Club reunite after twenty-seven years in order to defeat the eponymous being, who has returned to terrorize Derry, Maine. Development for a planned cinematic duology had begun by February 2016, with Dauberman working on a draft that was being envisioned as two parts. In September 2017, following the release of It, New Line Cinema confirmed the sequel, with Dauberman writing the script and Muschietti to direct. The film also stars Jaeden Martell, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Wyatt Oleff, who returned as the younger counterparts of the Losers Club from the first installment. Principal photography began on June 19, 2018, at Pinewood Toronto Studios and on locations in and around Port Hope, Oshawa, and Toronto, Ontario, and ended on October 31, 2018.
