While filming wildlife in Yellowstone National Park, we suddenly lost control of our drone. What started as a routine aerial shot quickly turned into a drone disaster in the middle of the Yellowstone wilderness. In this episode of Filming Yellowstone: Into the Wild, things do not go as planned. Our drone ends up stuck high in a tree while we are surrounded by some of the most iconic wildlife in North America. Recovering it becomes its own adventure and a reminder that nothing about wildlife filmmaking ever goes exactly the way you expect. This series follows my two-week expedition filming wildlife across Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton, documenting both the beauty of the landscape and the real challenges of working in the field. From wolves and bison to unexpected filming mishaps, this is an honest look at what it takes to capture nature on camera. If you enjoy wildlife documentaries, behind-the-scenes filmmaking, and real adventures in the wild, this series is for you.
