When faced with a diagram, it can be quite daunting to focus on. What we are going to do though is to go through this slowly and using a three step approach with the abbreviation of 'ICE' Isolate the diagram Identify the information This way we can really look at WHAT information is being presented and not be drawn by false answers. Critique the question Common sense Clinical knowledge Once we know the information presented, then we can look at the question and see what is being asked of us. Make sure when reviewing any answers that we apply a healthy dose of both common sense and clinical knowledge. I am suprised at how many questions with diagrams in really just need a bit of clinical knowledge and no statistical acumen at all! Question 3 in this video is a prime example of that. Evaluate each answer Eliminate incorrect answers It is tempting to just focus on all of the answers at once, this can be quite overwhelming and lead us to guessing. A better way is to go through each answer individually and make sure you are happy with the information that is being presented and DO NOT forget our first two points. All of these examples were from the RCGP and the full article is found here: https://www.rcgp.org.uk/getmedia/e2ba...
