This piece has already been uploaded before (most notably by Meyerbeer1 in a rendition featuring a dream duo of Eiddwen Harrhy and Della Jones) but I do feel that different versions of a single work give us a very gratifying opportunity to compare the contrasts of various approaches to the same music (especially when the music is this lovely) To be completely honest, my feelings for the piece are a bit mixed: on one hand, the basis melodic development seems rather unfocused, thus, the entrance of Emma introduces a lighter mood (dominating the proceedings from this point on) to the duet that is, in my opinion, much more moving in the initial plaintive instrumental prelude; on the other hand, one cannot overlook the sheer loveliness of the lines and the extremely unusual but refreshingly winning combination of harp and English horn that works beautifully in the context. The duet deals with Zelmira's resolve to save her son's life, as she pleads with Emma (initially reluctant to leave he mistress unattended) to move the boy to safety. The piece is sung by a similarly wonderful (to Harrhy-Jones) duo of Cecilia Gasdia and Bernarda Fink. Hope you'll enjoy :).
