After Kiana's journey has ended, Honkai Impact 3rd entered the next phase of its story. Composed of smaller storylines focusing on characters that didn't get enough development in Part 1 of the main story, Part 1.5 is meant to be a transitional period between Kiana's Journey and the story on Mars that will begin in Part 2. Despite HoYoverse calling Part 1.5 a more fun and relaxed journey, please don't think for a moment that the stories here are not important. Part 1.5 brings a lot of character development for some of the most beloved characters like Seele and Fu Hua, expands a lot of the Cosmology of the Solar System, and also sets up the stories in both Part 2 and APHO. The first half of Part 1.5 is called "The Dance of Life and Death", and focuses on the two Seeles and Susannah as they get transported in a strange Bubble World in the Sea of Quanta. For the first time in the game, Light Seele and Dark Seele get separated, and end up in different places, each of them partaking in their own adventure that will overlap in the end. With the help of Shigure Kira and a mysterious new character called Vita, Light Seele, and Susannah will uncover the mysteries of a Bubble World where the light never fades called Salt Snow Holy City. On the other hand, Dark Seele teams up with the one and only, Herrscher of Sentience, to help the fading citizens of the Country of Iron Sand. This is a Recap of Chapter 38 in the new story arc, which focuses on resolving the conflict between Seele and the Sage, revealing the intentions behind Misteln's actions, and introducing us to a new formidable enemy, the Abyss from the Sea of Quanta and creator of the Sky People - Sa.
