Beautful Sunrise Walk with Peak Fall Colors to Arashiyama Monkey Park - Kyoto, Japan

We catch a beautiful sunrise in Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and park before crossing the Katsura River at the Ranko Gorge on our way up to the Monkey Park. These macaque monkeys were super chill and enjoyed the view of Kyoto as much as we did. The filtered sunrise in the bamboo and peak fall colors made for a tranquil komorebi effect. Komorebi roughly means “the scattered light that filters through when sunlight shines through trees. The maple trees were stunning! We also check out Lotus Lake and Gyorai Kannon inside of the Hōkongō-in Temple  before the monkey park.
