Six-Year-Old Heart Transplant Patient Teresa Bartlinski Passes Away

Teresa Bartlinski, the six-year-old heart transplant patient from Catonsville passed away at 3:23 p.m. on Monday. The little girl was in surgery to get a Berlin heart installed after her heart transplant failed.Doctors on Friday determined the donor's heart had been rejected. The heart transplant was conducted on Tuesday, June 18.On their blog, which chronicled Teresa s struggle towards and through her heart transplant, her family said; Teresa has ridden her princess bike into Heaven to meet Jesus. She had her ears pierced shortly before her last breath. While we were not there when she took her first breath, God blessed us to be there when she took her last. Teresa was adopted by the Bartlinski family in 2010. It was worth every second to know Teresa, the Bartlinski's said. We'd do it all over again.Teresa's viewing is Friday at Saint Mark's Church in Catonsville.
