I picked up this beautiful solid oak buffet on facebook marketplace for only $25. In the condition it was in, they honestly should have paid me to take it from them. The piece had likely been sitting somewhere with a lot of moisture, as it had a really strong odour. Underneath all the damage on the top I saw that there was solid quarter-sawn raw oak. Hopefully I can revive this piece and give it a new life. In this video, I take you along as I fully restore this old oak buffet. I completely strip this piece back to bare wood, clean the brass hardware, and uncover the most beautiful wood grain.
